I needed a slight break from the blogging to focus on my classroom. :)
I have a phenomenal group of little KDG'ers this year! They're so excited to learn...and they've really adapted well to rules & procedures. They're doing so well with basic skills: cutting, printing (in between the lines!!!) in addition to our reading & math curriculum. I look forward to beginning blending which begins next week.
Reading: we've learned Cc (Cass), Oo (Oswald), Gg (Golly), Aa (Alf) and will begin Dd (Doc) tomorrow. We are working on counting letters, distinguishing between letters and words, counting words in sentences
I'm proud to say that the kiddos are rapidly mastering (if they haven't already) the tricky teens. We're currently working on patterning.
Here are pictures from our first day of KDG!!!
More pictures and events from our September Johnny Appleseed Day celebration & October trip to the Farm!
As we get ready for Halloween...I've created a name game for you to practice at home with your child. I've provided the name of each student and the appropriate letters. Cut out the letters, have the students make the names! This helps with letter identification and reading the names of others. Click on the link below to open the pdf in Google. From there, you'll be able to print & enjoy with your child!
